Named for Playa Diamante in the Dominican Republic, which means "Diamond Beach" in Spanish. This shallow beach area is formed by freshwater underground rivers that feed into the ocean, creating lush vegetation that offers shade throughout the area. A bird's eye view shows the diamond shape for which the beach is named.
