What is a Turkish Towel?

Turkish towels are loomed in Turkey of 100% Turkish cotton. This is a premium long-fiber cotton that grows only in the Aegean region of Turkey. The extra long fibers yield stronger and smoother threads than regular cotton, which creates textiles that are softer but more durable than their regular cotton counterparts. Turkish towels are flat-woven, as opposed to the loop design of terry-cloth towels. This allows them to dry quickly without developing any musty or mildewy odor. They are oversized but compact, as well as soft, absorbent, and sand-repellant. These features combine to make an incredibly versatile towel that can double as a throw, yoga mat, picnic blanket, shawl, sarong, baby blanket, and the list goes on.

How do I care for my SolWoven towels?

We recommend washing your SolWoven towels before the first use. Machine wash cold alone or with similar colors. Use mild detergent, but no bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. 

A few extra tips: The long-fiber cotton of Turkish towels plump up to their fullest potential when they are pre-soaked. You can soak them in a sink or tub of cold water for up to 12 hours, then launder as described above. My easy breezy approach for my new towels is to select a pre-soak option on my washer along with a long wash cycle. This leaves the threads submerged for plenty of time for them to come out plump and soft. Hang or tumble dry on low. Your SolWoven towels will become softer and more absorbent with each wash.

Definitely skip the fabric softener, which would actually make your towels less absorbent. Wool dryer balls added when tumbling dry are a great alternative. Adding a cup of white vinegar to your wash cycle every once in a while also encourages softness and washes away any build up of detergent.

When will my items be shipped?

We strive to ship all orders within 3 business days of receiving your order. You will receive an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped. Shipping times vary based on your location. We use standard shipping methods and cannot guarantee delivery times. If your order is delayed or lost in transit, please contact us at customerservice@solwoven.com. 

Where are my items shipping from?

Items will be shipped from North Carolina.

How will my items be shipped?

Items are shipped out by USPS, UPS, or FedEx Ground. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes, so keep that in mind when entering your shipping information.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time.

Can I make a change to, or cancel, my order?

Once an order has been submitted, we prepare it for shipping as soon as possible, and therefore cannot make any changes. Be sure to double and triple-check your items, quantities, and shipping info before hitting submit. If you do find that you have made an error or need to make a change, contact us immediately and we will do our best to assist.

How is the shipping cost calculated for my order?

Shipping has a flat rate $7.00. Orders over $100 ship free.

What if my package is returned to the seller as undeliverable?

Any packages returned to the sellers that are labeled by the shipping carrier as undeliverable will be refunded when returned to the seller. Refunds will be issued to the payment method used for that specific order. Exceptions to this include packages that are returned over 30 days after initial order. These items will be processed as a store credit to the customer. 

Why isn't my order going through?

First, make sure that all of the items that are in your cart are still available on the site. If an item that is in your cart has already sold out or has been removed from the site, the order will not process. You can hit remove to delete those unavailable items from your cart.

If you are receiving an AVS error when trying to check out, that means that the billing information, or CVV number on the back of your card, that you have entered during check out does not match the billing address that your bank or cardholder has on file for that card.

Be sure to use an up-to-date browser when looking at the site, such as Google Chrome.

Can I return my order?

If you don't love your purchase, please contact us within 30 days of your order to request a refund or exchange. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable  Please email us at customerservice@solwoven.com with your order number and reason for return.

What do I do if the item I received is damaged or defective?

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the problem quickly. We ask that your send your order number along with a photo of the issue to customerservice@solwoven.com.  This will help with quality control and prevent the same situation in the future.
